地元の建設会社により運営がおこなわれているビジネスホテルである。大樹町に充実した宿泊施設を実現したいというクライアントの情熱に応え建築の設計だけでなく、事業収支などのソフト計画についても支援し短期間で開業したプロジェクトである。建築計画にあたっては、シンプルでありながら強い印象をもつ空間の創造を心がけた。宿泊室は逆梁を併用した壁式構造の特性を活かして、高い天井高と南に向いた大きな木製窓をもつ空間とした。南側に向いたこの窓からは隣接する交通公園や日高山系への眺望を楽しむことが出来る。このような大きなガラス開口は、冬季においてコールドドラフトを発生させる危険性があるが、これに対しては、高性能低放射ガラスと輻射暖房の併用にて対処している。北側廊下の外壁部分は1800mm幅の耐侯性鋼板のパネルとガラスの反復による構成としている。下地、内外仕上げ、断熱材、サッシュ枠を融合した鋼板パネルは、すべて札幌圏の工場で加工し高い精度と工期の短縮を可能にした。

The project was a business hotel administered by a local construction company. In response to the client’s passion to develop substantial accommodation in Taiki-cho, this short-term start-up project involved not only the design but also support in the planning of software for tracking business income and expenditures. With regard to the construction plan, we focused on the idea of creating a space that was simple but left a strong impression. The guest rooms made use reverse-beam wall construction, high ceilings and large wooden, south-facing windows.  The south-facing windows allow guests to enjoy views of the adjacent traffic park and distant Hidaka mountain range. However, these large glass openings create a risk of cold drafts during the winter season. This risk was alleviated by the use of a combination of high-efficiency low-emission glass and radiation heating. The external portion of the corridor on the north side was constructed of 1800mm weather-resistant steel panels and glass. All the sheet steel panels fused to the foundations, interior and exterior finishing, insulation materials, and sash frames were produced in factories in the Sapporo area, which enabled the work to be performed with high-precision and in a timely manner.
